In short words, I am a New Tenant and I am pleased thus far with Accent On Decatur. This will be my first time living alone. A.O.D has what I was looking for which is a Studio Apartment. Everything in the apartment was what I expected and the staff that I did meet was on their Customer Service Game. I asked the front desk worker (Ms. Chris C.) if she wanted anything. She said, "Zero Sugar Monster Energy Drink". I owe her a few for her kind help. The Maintenance (Carlos) did a great job at fixing and resetting my Drooping shower rod. BEFORE/AFTER PICTURES ARE ADDED. THANK YOU, HAPPY HOLIDAYS đź’–

Some pros, but far more cons!!! JUST DONT RENT HERE! I’ve lived here for 18 days and they have been the WORST, roach filled days of my life!!! The office staff is really nice (that’s the only reason it’s worth one star), but it doesn’t seem like they communicate. I have been in the office almost every day trying to get things fixed. From day one of the whole application and move In process was stressful. The original unit that I was shown and applied for “had problems that weren’t able to be fixed in time” so they had to move my unit the unit that they moved me to wasn’t fully upgraded (which is what I applied for) so they moved me again to a unit that looked nothing like I was promised so once again they move my unit there was another issue so once again they moved my unit and I had to settle for something that was not fully upgraded , but had the flooring that I wanted and i originally saw when I toured. All of the unit switching caused my move in date to be delayed by 5 days. I was content with the unit until I spent the first night a had to kill 5 roaches and my A/C was not working and it was 82 during the day and 73 at night in my apartment. They fixed the A/C after maybe 4 or 5 days. They have tried to spray, and have even fumigated my unit and I’m still having to kill at least 3 roaches a day( keep in mind I didn’t have anything in the apartment besides a bed for the first week of living here and still roaches). I’m literally scared to walk into my own apartment, and I refuse to cook or do anything dealing with food because I’m afraid it will attract even more roaches. There so much more I can complain about but this review is already pretty lengthy. To sum it all up SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, And ENERGY AND RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! 12/12/23 Update: After 2 fumigation, possible entry points being sealed off, being sprayed multiple times, and a “clean out” I still have the roach issue (I saw one coming out of my vents last night, and killed one crawling on my wall moments before writing this update). I haven’t fully unpacked all my things because I can’t trust that the cabinets won’t have roaches crawling in my stuff! I want out of these apartments more than I’ve wanted anything in my life. DO NOT RENT HERE!! The “owner” of the property replied to my review not know I have been in contact with the property manager multiple times already. For the price I’m paying this is ridiculous, I shouldn’t feel this uncomfortable in my own home.

I honestly do not believe that I’ve had a more pleasant experience receiving customer service than the service I received from Chris (or Kris) during my leasing application. She was extremely helpful and friendly. In fact, we were probably laughing more than half of the time we were together lol. I’m serious: She was so friendly and just as hilarious.. Also, the room that I’ve rented is much nicer than I had anticipated. But I’m very pleased to know that I’ll be seeing Chris (or Kris) while living at Accent on Decatur.

Do not trust there web site .It is not accurate floor plans. When you pay the application fee online make sure you remove your debit card because if not they will take 250$ automatically once you are approved for a holding fee regardless if you have not seen the apartment and it takes 30 days to get your money back in the from of a check. I went on there website seen the floor plan I wanted for a decent amount did the application process and passed the credit check to get the special that was offered online so like any human being taking care of business I called the office and asked questions I asked what is the next process Chris says a criminal background check and that can take up to 4 to 7 buisness days and we will notify you by email once your approved or denied .So 5 days pass and instead of being notified that I passed the background check I was notified by my bank that they deducted 250 from my account . So I after I checked into it I figured out were the charge came from and that I was approved for the apartment all in the same process. So I go to the apartments to check everything out . Chris gives me a lease with no move in special. After we discuss this she says I was able to get a particular amount took off after she told me on the phone I was approved for the special which is frist month rent free. So since Chris was so nice I said okae whatever so she gives me the keys to go look at the apartment and it was not the apartment listed . Apt # was correct but everything else was incorrect. I told her it was the wrong apartment and she blamed it on the website giving the incorrect information. I asked for my money back and they said 30 days in the form of a check .Good thing I didn't sign the lease online or I would of been screwed like most of these people in the reviews

Plesse note when you look at the reviews to this place. Every single positive review is by a single person that does not live here and only has a review or two on their profile!!!! Why? Because they paid for reviews. Please look at the negative ones because that is the true experience. After a month without air conditioning... they installed it incorrectly dlwhich made it leak and damaged half of the clothes in my closet. After telling them of water damage they didn't show up for another week. Then called out the air conditioning company which took another 4 days.. and I still don't have tiles in my ceiling. This place would rather send a totally incompetent person several times over the span of months than find someone to just fix something correctly the first time.

I was looking for new home and searched and stopped by most apartments, but Chris who is at leasing office, she is the BEST!!! She trying to find my special request and solve the problems quick and clear!! I had lots of rental experience but I think Accent on Decatur is amazing place. Thanks guys!!!!♡♡♡
